Barghest
Alison Lowery
Snowfall obscures the winding road—
Beautiful blanket, white and cold,
binds the traveler's fingers and toes,
slogging the trail,
night-blind, where the strange dog bestrode,
red eyes, black tail.
Alison Lowery is a storyteller and student who spends most of her time squinting at the screen of an antiquated laptop, which is noisy besides. More of her poetry will be available for consumption in forthcoming editions of Goblin Fruit.
